Tykeson Hall

University of Oregon

A clear path between learning and what comes next.

Tykeson Hall brings classrooms, academic advising, and career support together in the heart of the University of Oregon campus. Students can move from a class to a conversation about what comes next without leaving the building. Commons and informal spaces make that support visible and easy to use.

RMA.studio contributed programming, space planning, color and materials, and furnishings selections in collaboration with OFFICE 52 Architecture and Rowell Brokaw Architects. Our work considered how students would find their way through the building, where they might stop, and what kind of setting each activity needs. Furnishings offer places for an individual to focus and for a group to connect, supporting the building's role throughout the day.
