Huang Engineering Center

Stanford University

A common ground for engineering.

Huang Engineering Center is a point of arrival for Stanford's School of Engineering and a link between the Science and Engineering Quad and the wider campus. Academic spaces, offices, and places to gather support both the work happening inside and the connections that form across departments.

RMA.studio's space planning, furnishings selections, and custom furniture design bring attention to those daily interactions. The furniture gives open areas a useful scale and offers settings for a quick exchange, a meeting, or more sustained work. Each choice supports a building that needs to feel welcoming while serving a large and varied academic community.
