Hooper Community Center
The Webb Schools
A familiar building.
A new place to gather.
A former campus gym becomes a place for everyday connection at The Webb Schools. Hooper Community Center retains the character of its historic structure while opening it up for gathering, dining, and informal time between classes.
Furnishings bring warmth and a more personal scale to the large room. They make space for a student studying alone, a small group meeting, or a larger event, allowing the center to shift with the needs of the day.
Along the back wall, RMA.studio designed a bench from the old maple gym floor. The reclaimed material gives students a place to sit while carrying a tangible piece of the building’s earlier life into its new one.
