David and Joan Traitel Building
The Hoover Institution at Stanford University
A setting for dialogue at every scale.
The Traitel Building expands the Hoover Institution's ability to bring people together. Its auditorium, meeting spaces, and multipurpose rooms support lectures, policy conversations, and the less formal exchanges around them. The project creates a setting for serious discussion that still feels open to the campus.
RMA.studio contributed programming, space planning, furnishings selections, and custom furniture design alongside William Rawn Associates and CAW Architects. The work considers how different gatherings begin, change scale, and carry on beyond the scheduled program. Furnishings help larger rooms adapt while giving smaller conversations a comfortable place to happen.
